Out of Bath
Published in March 2011 to accompany the exhibition held at Bath School of Art and Design by alumni from the school and the former Bath Academy of Art.
The exhibition showcased 11 makers whose approaches ranged from functional to sculptural, figurative to decorative and conceptual. Through the reinterpretation of traditional methods and processes: throwing, handbuilding, slip-casting, and a variety of decorating and glazing methods, Bath alumni bring an exciting, fresh and contemporary approach to ceramics practice.
The exhibition was curated by Jo Dahn, Viv Kenchington and Keith Varney.
